Guess who’s back again? That’s right! Me! It’s really hard to keep up with two blogs, a YouTube Channel and a Facebook Page! Who said that a beauty blogger’s life is easy? No no no!

Today I will write a review about an eyeshadow palette that I recently purchased and am in love with it! Have you ever heard of a brand called BH Cosmetics? I found this brand on the internet when I was trying to purchase a good quality eyeshadow palette, for a cheap price! Yes, I always try to buy cheap-and-awesome things! So, they have several different palettes, good for every style, every look, everyone! Bh Cosmetics has 5 editions of their 120 eyshadows palette. It was really hard for me to choose one because they all look so pretty! I ended up buying the 2nd edition, and it looks like this:

DSC00439 DSC00435

As you can see, the palette has all of the colors we can imagine! It has green, blue, pink, purple, brown, red, orange.. Every color! You can mix and play with it to create different looks! I already have lots of neutral single eyeshadows so I wanted something really bright and fun! The pigmentation is great, it blends really well and I am really happy with it! Here some of the swatches for you to see:

DSC00446

I didn’t apply any primer before swatching it, so you can see that the colors by themselves are pretty pigmented and bright! Even the black, that tends to be chalky and grey-ish like. This palette has matte and satin finish colors!

DSC00443

DSC00440

This palette was US$16.95 + $7.95 (shipping) = $24,90 which I thought it is a great price for the quality and the variety of eyeshadow! Checking the website now I realized it is even cheaper! It is 50% off and it’s $14.95 + shipping. If you want to get yours, go to their website (click here). This link is not an affiliate link or sponsored link, whatsoever. It is a true review about this product! I purchased with my own money and I just want to give you guys my opinion about it!

And they won my heart when I saw the Take Me To Brazil eyeshadow palette!!! It has the bright yellow, green and blue brazilian colors and the packaging is flawless!

Isn’t it pretty? I just did not buy this one because I wanted more colors and a big variety! Anyways, I really recommend this palette and company if you are looking for some cheap-and-awesome palettes! They also have neutral palettes, less eyeshadows, lots of different palettes for every style you might have!

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

Some months ago I made a huge purchase on the e.l.f. website and they had a bonus, some 7 products for free! And one of the products that I received was the e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer.

sdc12582

It has a pink-ish color, more like a pink skin tone color, but once it’s well blended, it does not appear that pink.  The applicator is just like a regular lipgloss applicator, and it’s easy to apply on the lids, because you can apply as much as you want. It’s different from other primers that once you took it out of the bottle, it will never go back hahahaha! 😉

sdc12583

Here is a swatch of the primer:

sdc12584I think the consistency once it’s dry is really… dry. Hahaha! It’s different from the Milani primer I have, and I like to apply this e.l.f. primer to make a base for eyeliner. Some primer make the eyeliner to smudge more than without anything on.. But this e.l.f. primer is really good because it’s dry and makes the eyeliner stick like forever! 🙂

I swatched it with a matte brown brazilian eyeshadow for you to see the quality of the primer!

SDC12609

SDC12607

SDC12606

The upper swatch has the primer, and you can see that it makes the eyeshadow brighter and you can really see the color more pigmented. I like it, especially because of the price! Some e.l.f. products are really good (for drugstore products) and are so cheap that I don’t even know how they do it! Hahaha! I recommend this primer if you are looking for something cheap and awesome! It costs only US$3,00!

How to stop wasting your MAC Pro Longwear Concealer! Problems with the pump? Not anymore!

Ahhhh, the lovely Pro Longwear Concealer! My passion (ok, I’ve never tried any other concealer, but who cares?)! But like every single person says ‘damn you, pump!!!!!’. it’s like with one pump you can apply on your entire face! Agh!!! I’ve already watched tons of youtube videos teaching how to half pump, but nope. I was frustrated, not only because my NC35 is TOO dark for me now, but because I don’t like to waste concealer!

I went to MAC at Belk to buy another concealer that matches my skin tone and I bought the NC20 (that now it’s too light, hahaha!), but I talked to the girl there and she said ‘ah, yes.. the pump is always a problem, but here, I’ll help you!’. And she gave me the most simple, smart and obvious thing ever to prevent me to waste my precious concealer! What is it?

SDC12200

The saleswoman gave me this MAC little plastic container!!!

SDC12199

Instead of putting the product on your hands or anywhere else, just put it inside this little container! She was so sweet to give me this, I didn’t even ask!

SDC12202

That way you won’t waste any product! You can just put the product in this container, mix if you have a dark and light concealer (in my case, I have the NC20 that is too light and the NC35, too dark, so I mix them together in this container and I have the perfect match! So perfect! I can apply the amount of product I want and need, and then I just close the lid and I have more concealer to use later!

SDC12203

How amazing is this? I’m shocked! Hahaha! Soon I”ll post a review about my NC20 and NC35 and how I mix them together to have the perfect match for my skin! 🙂

I’ll talk to you guys soon, bye!

While I was at ULTA walking around those tons of makeup products from different brands, my eyes looked at this:

SDC12580

At first I was like ‘um, ok sure’ and walked away. But something made me go back and read the sign explaining all about it. It’s a pencil that can be used as concealer (on spots, like pimples or blemishes), like a lip pencil or a beige pencil to open your eyes (when you make a smokey eye and don’t want to finish with dark eyeliner), especially if you have small eyes. I thought some more about it and I bought it! It was US$4,49 at ULTA. I bought the shade medium and it looks like this:

SDC12581

I’ve found the beige eyeliner I was looking for! Hah! Seriously, I simply love this pencil! It can be used in any way you want, and it’s perfect to touch up blemishes on your skin or to apply on your waterline (my favorite option!). I still haven’t used as a lip liner but I will try with my honey NYX lipstick that kinda matches the color of this pencil (hopefully haha, I don’t know). I recommend this Wonder Pencil to everyone, it’s cheap, you can use in any way your creativity tells you and it has a great quality! On the waterline it stays on for a long time, I’m in love with it! Here is a swatch of it:

SDC12578

After I blend it, it looks like this:

SDC12579

You can see that where I applied it you can’t see the vein as much as with the bare skin. Cheap and Awesome! 😉

Sigma Beauty… Everyone who knows about the makeup industry and world knows about the Sigma Brushes and Makeup. But.. Do you know the story behind that company? I’m here to tell you and surprise you!

Are you ready to know the truth? SIGMA BEAUTY IS BRAZILIAN! Say whaaaaaat? Yes, ma’am! Let’s sit down because I’ll tell you all about it! I was checking their website because I simply love all about them, but unfortunately I cannot afford anything right now haha! Anyways, I always like to read about the story of the company or just to read the ‘about’ page, just to know what kinda of company I am dealing with, how they got here or anything related to that. Reading the Sigma Beauty website, I came to these shocking news!

SIGMA BEAUTY

History:

Sigma was founded in 2008 by Brazilian natives Rene, a civil engineer with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and his wife Simone, a researcher with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. After discovering the strong need for worldwide availability of affordable and high-quality beauty products, the couple combined their knowledge of engineering and scientific research to create a company that met these needs in the cosmetic industry.

Reading more about this, I saw that a Brazilian couple came to USA in 1999 and they started the Sigma Beauty in 2008. Wikipedia-ing, I read:

The couple, who moved to Minnesota in 1999, combined their knowledge of engineering and scientific research to pioneer the company, which began as a way to simply export American cosmetics to family members in Brazil. Seeing an opening to expand, Oliveira and Filho quickly grew the business, designing brushes and sending products to influential fashion bloggers.

Did someone know about this? I didn’t! And now I love Sigma Beauty EVEN MORE, because come on.. They are Brazilian! Ok, the company is American but it has Brazilian roots, love and blood (haha)! I’m impressed and loving it more!

Now let’s check the new arrivals and the ‘gotta love’ products they have!

Almay Softies Eyeshadows!

Today I am here to talk to you guys about the famous Softies from Almay. I remember that a few months ago, eveeeeeeryone was talking about those eyeshadows.

SDC12013

The reason why everyone was talking so much about these eyeshadows… I’ll tell you in a minute. But be ready because these eyeshadows are so mysterious.. Is it a cream or powder eyeshadow? 😉

SDC12015

The Almay did something super cool with this new line of eyeshadows, because they are neither powder nor baked, or cream, or gel .. It is very difficult tell for sure what they are. Like the name itself says, it is very smooth and SOFT. Although it is a pressed powder, it has an amazing texture, it looks like cream, but it’s kind of a powder … It is between powder and cream, if you guys can picture it!

It’s just… different, not a super messy eyeshadow and the color is very soft, not vibrant.

The color I chose was this super soft and delicate pink called PETAL, which is gorgeous to apply on a daily basis if you just want a little bit of color but nothing to caught too much attention. Delicate, elegant and simple. It’s not too pigmented, so don’t expect a very dramatic look with it. It goes pretty well with a more casual look. Here’s a swatch of it:

SDC12018

You can really see that it’s not pigmented, but obviously I did not apply any primer before. Then I applied it on my eye so you could see better results.

SDC12078

SDC12089

I bought at Target for US$4.49. But I read that maybe you can find it cheaper somewhere. The Almay has a package with two for US$, but the problem is that the colors don’t exactly go along very well (at least the ones I saw) and I don’t know, I just didn’t feel like buying the package hahaha. I thought the eyeshadows ere more pigmented but looking back I think the packages are worth to buy.

SDC12014

SDC12087

Can you see how soft the color is sofr? Score to Almay!

Well, I’ll talk to you guys soon! I have so many posts I need to write, but I’m between countries right now so I’m having a hard time trying to find time and motivation to post! I promise I will not let you all down. I love the blog and I do it with all my heart.\

Stay confident and keep smiling! Tchau (bye in portuguese)!

CHEAP AND AWESOME! – Eyebrow Gel Kit by e.l.f.

Hello, hello! Time to save money and stay beautiful! So come on and let’s get started!

Oh my God! That’s the only thing I can say about this eyebrow gel kit from e.l.f.! I freaking love it, and everytime I go out I must at least fill in my eyebrows with this lovely kit. I have some other brow kits from Milani and e.l.f. but this one if still my favorite. 🙂

E.l.f. is a cheap brand, that most people don’t even try them but say they don’t like (only because if it’s cheap, it’s probably bad). Well, well, well, more products to me! I love this brand, I think it’s so cheap and has some amazing products. Some of them might not be so good, but come, do you guys know the average price of the makeup products? They have three lines:

  • e.l.f. Studio – makeup line includes professional makeup for professional makeup artists and consumers.
  • e.l.f. Minerals – consists of makeup made out of natural minerals.
  • e.l.f. Essentials – includes “every-day” makeup supplies at lower prices, in an effort to be affordable. The newer e.l.f Elements line from e.l.f. Essentials also allows customers to customize their own makeup palette.

The prices are basically 1, 3, 6 + dollars. They have the sets that are more expensive, just because duuuh, you get more products! 😉

Anyways, I really like the brand and I got the chance to try a few products when I made a huge purchase on their website: EYES LIPS FACE (and you know what? Orders over 35 dollars (which it’s a LOT of products) have free shipping and they have a sale right now. 50% off of the studio line products! Go for it, girl! 50% off of… 6 dollars? Hahah! They are amazing.

Back to the main point of this post.. I bought the eyebrow gel kit, in the color Dark. It looks like this (yeah, I’ve used a lot before this post, don’t mind the mess!)

It comes with a tiny brush that most people hate but I’m not picky so I use this brush and sometimes a regular size brush, haha! It has the wax, and you can choose 4 colors, if I’m not mistaken. I chose the dark because my eyebrows are really dark and I don’t like when the color does not match your real natural eyebrow color. And it also comes with the powder to give the brow some depth and dimension, so it’s not flat! Most people think the powder is too light and they hate it (I think people say bad things about e.l.f. only because they are a company with cheap products, but anyway.), but it isn’t too bad! It gives dimension to the brow, I really like it.

I figured out that if I apply my eye primer to my brows 30 seconds before I apply the e.l.f. eyebrow kit, it’s stays in place the whole day! If I don’t apply the primer, sometimes I can accidentally touch it and it’ll smudge a little bit.

It has an amazing quality and stays on your brows the entire day. It does not look fake in my opinion and I’ve been using this so much! The best part… It costs only US$3,00. Come on! Cheap AND Awesome!

Let’s take a look at my brows:

This is without any product on

This is using the e.l.f. eyebrow kit! I think it looks really natural! 🙂

So, that’s it! I’ll talk to you guys soon! Bye!

Review: Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Waterproof

Hello, hello! Time to save money and stay beautiful! So come on and let’s get started!

SDC12260

This weekend I was having a romantic tiny trip with my boyfriend in Savannah, Georgia. And like a (healthy) shopaholic like me, I said that I wanted to go to the Shopping Mall. While I was walking and just having a good time, I saw the Sephora inside JCPenny. I had to go check the makeup products! It’s stronger than me, what can I do? Ok, walking around the pot of gold of makeup, I decided to check the Sephora Collection to see if they have something good and for a reasonable price. I saw the Sephora Contour Eye Pencil 12h Waterproof and decided to swatch a few colors on my hands. I didn’t want to buy the black because well, I have tons of black eyeliner so why buy another black? I had to decide between their several colors (35 total, on the website), and I picked two shades. But first, let’s see what Sephora tells us about their product:

What it is:
A contouring eye pencil for a big, beautiful look that lasts up to 12 hours.

What it does:
Enhance and enliven your eyes with the bold, long-wearing color of these eye pencils. The silky formula is resistant to water, heat, and humidity, ensuring up to 12 hours of smudge-less wear.

What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Phthalates

Nothing special, but direct to the point. Which I like better than going around paragraphs just to read something they could have said in a few sentences. Right? Anyway, back to the colors I chose!

SDC12261Cappuccino and Sun Tan! 🙂

SDC12266

SDC12269

COLOR 08 Sun Tan – Copper. It’s a beautiful copper/bronze/gold color, with shimmer. I fell in love when I swatched it. I think it looks so beautiful, especially if you apply on top of a dar smokey eye! Can’t wait to try it!

SDC12276

COLOR 12 Cappuccino – Brown Glitter. Like the name says itself, it is a brown color with glitter in it. Which is different from the Sun Tan that is a shimmer color. I’m not sure if you guys can tell the difference from shimmer to glitter, so let’s see both colors together:

SDC12274

Inside lights

SDC12272

Sun light. I like to say that shimmer is like a giant glitter like, it has its glow, while glitter feels like there is flakes of glitter on top of a color. Confusing but I think with the picture you can tell the difference. The dark is glitter, while the golden eyeliner is a shimmer color. 🙂

Ok, I had chosen my favorite colors from the ones I had swatched it. It was time to pay. US$9,00 each one, I thought it was a good deal! The Sephora saleswoman gave me a reward card, but I don’t know if I have any points with this purchase. So, I bought it, went to have lunch (still at the shopping mall) and I decided to check the receipt from Sephora, because I always do that.  I saw that she charged me US$10,00 instead of the US$9,00 that was written on the display. Oh no, no, no! I had to go back! 2 dollars to me are like… Well, 2 dollars! I went back to Sephora and told the woman that she charged the wrong price. Then she looked at me and told me that all Sephora products (or eye pencils, I forgot) went up 1 dollar. I stared at her smiling, secretly thinking ‘Well, it’s not my fault, the price on the display says 9 dollars’. Then she talked with the manager and she gave me back my US$2,14! Score! What if I said ‘pff, nah, whatever’? I wouldn’t get back the money! 😉

Back to the eyeliner, they cost US$10,00 now, but I paid US$9,00 because of what I just wrote up there. They are smooth, easy to apply, don’t seem to smudge easily, but one thing: even though it is for the outside part of the eye, I tried to apply on my waterline.. FAIL. My eyes started to burn and water a little bit, my eyes got blurry because the formula is too greasy. Anyway, no wonder why they say it’s CONTOUR eye pencil. Do not try to apply on the waterline of your eyes! haha.

I think they are worth the price. Not too expensive and good quality. What do you think?

I’ll talk to you guys soon, bye!
