Guess who’s back again? That’s right! Me! It’s really hard to keep up with two blogs, a YouTube Channel and a Facebook Page! Who said that a beauty blogger’s life is easy? No no no!

Today I will write a review about an eyeshadow palette that I recently purchased and am in love with it! Have you ever heard of a brand called BH Cosmetics? I found this brand on the internet when I was trying to purchase a good quality eyeshadow palette, for a cheap price! Yes, I always try to buy cheap-and-awesome things! So, they have several different palettes, good for every style, every look, everyone! Bh Cosmetics has 5 editions of their 120 eyshadows palette. It was really hard for me to choose one because they all look so pretty! I ended up buying the 2nd edition, and it looks like this:

DSC00439 DSC00435

As you can see, the palette has all of the colors we can imagine! It has green, blue, pink, purple, brown, red, orange.. Every color! You can mix and play with it to create different looks! I already have lots of neutral single eyeshadows so I wanted something really bright and fun! The pigmentation is great, it blends really well and I am really happy with it! Here some of the swatches for you to see:

I didn’t apply any primer before swatching it, so you can see that the colors by themselves are pretty pigmented and bright! Even the black, that tends to be chalky and grey-ish like. This palette has matte and satin finish colors!

This palette was US$16.95 + $7.95 (shipping) = $24,90 which I thought it is a great price for the quality and the variety of eyeshadow! Checking the website now I realized it is even cheaper! It is 50% off and it’s $14.95 + shipping. If you want to get yours, go to their website (click here). This link is not an affiliate link or sponsored link, whatsoever. It is a true review about this product! I purchased with my own money and I just want to give you guys my opinion about it!

And they won my heart when I saw the Take Me To Brazil eyeshadow palette!!! It has the bright yellow, green and blue brazilian colors and the packaging is flawless!

Isn’t it pretty? I just did not buy this one because I wanted more colors and a big variety! Anyways, I really recommend this palette and company if you are looking for some cheap-and-awesome palettes! They also have neutral palettes, less eyeshadows, lots of different palettes for every style you might have!

REVIEW: NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream – San Paulo

Hello, hello! Time to save money and stay beautiful! So come on and let’s get started!

I’ve been gone but I always come back after awhile. I have two blogs and my main blog is the one I write in Portuguese so I apologize for the lack of posts here. Today I am going to talk about a NYX Lip Cream I bought a few months ago. NYX gives famous cities names to their Lip Creams, they have 20 or 22 shades and I couldn’t say no to my compulsive soul.. I bought the Lip Cream San Paulo, only because it’s named after a Brazilian City! 😉

San Paulo is an awesome pink shade, not too bright, not too nude. It’s the perfect pink for when you need that pop of color in your lips without going too over the top with it!

Those Lip Creams have a Matte finish and they are not dry like other Matte lipsticks I’ve tried before. Like the package says

“Neither lipstick nor lip gloss, this matte lip cream is a new kind of lip color that goes on silky smooth and sets to a matte finish. Soft Matte Lip Cream is surprisingly durable and, unlike some matte lipstick formulas, also moisturizing.”

And it’s true! It does not feel like a lipstick and it doesn’t feel like a lip gloss. It’s creamy, matte and smooth when applied. Like every matte lipgloss, you should treat your lips before (if they are flaky), and make sure it does not have any skin showing.

The only thing I don’t like so much about this lip cream is that it is hard to achieve the real color. You must really pay attention to the  details and apply it carefully. I need to apply several coats to build up the color, which can be annoying if you are in a hurry. But I am not easily annoyed with cosmetics in general so it doesn’t bother me. I love the fact that after you apply it, it dries pretty quick and you can even kiss your boyfriend and it won’t come off like a creamy normal lipstick.

I’m not sure if I would recommend it because I know some other people who have the same problem as me, and I’m talking about a light color. Can you imagine a darker color? It’s probably even worse to apply. I bought it at Target and the price range is around US$6,00. It’s worth trying it, maybe I will try another color just to make sure! 🙂

How to make you concealer last forever! Quick and easy!

Hey, I know.. I know that I’ve been gone, but I’ve been working so much lately. I even worked this sunday because of Easter, can you believe it? So I don’t have any free time not even to do my nails as often as I like to do them, hahaha! But I came here today to share with you something that I learned and it has been helping me a lot lately! Here in Brazil is really hot (I live in a city near Rio de Janeiro) and makeup is something that melts in 2 hours. Especially me, I have combination/oily skin and here is really humid. In USA I don’t have problems with oily skin, it actually gets really dry hahaha. But here is something awful. So I have to always keep an eye open for the tips and secrets to make the products last more than a couple of hours on my face! And I’ve found something very interesting to keep the concealer on for a long time! Let’s try it? You’ll need:

  • Your LIQUID concealer
  • Facial/Eye moisturizer
  • Primer (eyeshadow primer can be used as well!)

Did you get all these things? Promise? Let’s keep going then!

  1. Wash your face like you usually do, with your cleanser, tonic, astringent, etc.
  2. Apply your eye cream on your under eye area.
  3. Wait for your skin to absorb it, then re-apply the eye cream.
  4. Repeat the process.. Wait for it to dry and apply more eye cream.
  5. Apply a tiny little bit of primer under your eyes.
  6. Then apply your liquid concealer.
  7. IF you want, you can apply a little little little bit of powder, but it isn’t necessary!

What’s the big key? If you over hydrate your under eye area, it’ll be so smooth that your skin will not get dry and crease your concealer, especially because you applied the primer! And why do you need to use liquid and not cream or mousse concealer? Well, the liquid concealers usually dry really fast and don’t crease. Cream concealers are made to cover imperfections around the face, but once applied on the eyes, it tends to crease and show the little expression lines quickly. I tried those steps and my concealer lasted for longer than it usually do. And I live in a place where the makeup melts in two hours hahahahaha! I hope you will find this tip easy and awesome!

That’s it, guys! I’ll talk to you soon, I promise! Bye

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer

Some months ago I made a huge purchase on the e.l.f. website and they had a bonus, some 7 products for free! And one of the products that I received was the e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer.

It has a pink-ish color, more like a pink skin tone color, but once it’s well blended, it does not appear that pink.  The applicator is just like a regular lipgloss applicator, and it’s easy to apply on the lids, because you can apply as much as you want. It’s different from other primers that once you took it out of the bottle, it will never go back hahahaha! 😉

Here is a swatch of the primer:

sdc12584I think the consistency once it’s dry is really… dry. Hahaha! It’s different from the Milani primer I have, and I like to apply this e.l.f. primer to make a base for eyeliner. Some primer make the eyeliner to smudge more than without anything on.. But this e.l.f. primer is really good because it’s dry and makes the eyeliner stick like forever! 🙂

I swatched it with a matte brown brazilian eyeshadow for you to see the quality of the primer!

The upper swatch has the primer, and you can see that it makes the eyeshadow brighter and you can really see the color more pigmented. I like it, especially because of the price! Some e.l.f. products are really good (for drugstore products) and are so cheap that I don’t even know how they do it! Hahaha! I recommend this primer if you are looking for something cheap and awesome! It costs only US$3,00!

How to stop wasting your MAC Pro Longwear Concealer! Problems with the pump? Not anymore!

Ahhhh, the lovely Pro Longwear Concealer! My passion (ok, I’ve never tried any other concealer, but who cares?)! But like every single person says ‘damn you, pump!!!!!’. it’s like with one pump you can apply on your entire face! Agh!!! I’ve already watched tons of youtube videos teaching how to half pump, but nope. I was frustrated, not only because my NC35 is TOO dark for me now, but because I don’t like to waste concealer!

I went to MAC at Belk to buy another concealer that matches my skin tone and I bought the NC20 (that now it’s too light, hahaha!), but I talked to the girl there and she said ‘ah, yes.. the pump is always a problem, but here, I’ll help you!’. And she gave me the most simple, smart and obvious thing ever to prevent me to waste my precious concealer! What is it?

The saleswoman gave me this MAC little plastic container!!!

Instead of putting the product on your hands or anywhere else, just put it inside this little container! She was so sweet to give me this, I didn’t even ask!

That way you won’t waste any product! You can just put the product in this container, mix if you have a dark and light concealer (in my case, I have the NC20 that is too light and the NC35, too dark, so I mix them together in this container and I have the perfect match! So perfect! I can apply the amount of product I want and need, and then I just close the lid and I have more concealer to use later!

How amazing is this? I’m shocked! Hahaha! Soon I”ll post a review about my NC20 and NC35 and how I mix them together to have the perfect match for my skin! 🙂

I’ll talk to you guys soon, bye!

CHEAP AND AWESOME: NYX Wonder Pencil in Medium – 02

While I was at ULTA walking around those tons of makeup products from different brands, my eyes looked at this:

At first I was like ‘um, ok sure’ and walked away. But something made me go back and read the sign explaining all about it. It’s a pencil that can be used as concealer (on spots, like pimples or blemishes), like a lip pencil or a beige pencil to open your eyes (when you make a smokey eye and don’t want to finish with dark eyeliner), especially if you have small eyes. I thought some more about it and I bought it! It was US$4,49 at ULTA. I bought the shade medium and it looks like this:

I’ve found the beige eyeliner I was looking for! Hah! Seriously, I simply love this pencil! It can be used in any way you want, and it’s perfect to touch up blemishes on your skin or to apply on your waterline (my favorite option!). I still haven’t used as a lip liner but I will try with my honey NYX lipstick that kinda matches the color of this pencil (hopefully haha, I don’t know). I recommend this Wonder Pencil to everyone, it’s cheap, you can use in any way your creativity tells you and it has a great quality! On the waterline it stays on for a long time, I’m in love with it! Here is a swatch of it:

After I blend it, it looks like this:

You can see that where I applied it you can’t see the vein as much as with the bare skin. Cheap and Awesome! 😉

Milani Lipstick – Fruit Punch 11

I’m not sure if you guys know, but I am in love with Milani Lipsticks! They have amazing colors, are pigmented and stay on your lips foreeeeever! Not to mention they are only around US$5,59 (I don’t remember it for sure). I have 3 shades and today I am here to show you the color Fruit Punch – 11.

I have the Flamingo Rose and it’s brighter than this one, but similar. This is a bright pink, but lighter than the Flamingo Rose color! It’s freaking gorgeous! I am dying to buy the other colors, I want to test the dark ones! I have a brown and two pink Milani lipsticks!

What I like about the Milani Lipsticks is that they have an amazing smell (I like it, leave me alone hahahaha), and they are thick, but not dry. They are not like NYX lipsticks that looks like melted butter, nor dry as hell like some matte lipsticks. They are just.. right! The consistency is great, it lasts forever on your lips and the colors are to die for! Milani lipsticks are my secret weapon! Cheap and definitely AWESOME!

Check out my other Milani Lipstick post with the shade TEDDY BARE!

I’ll talk to you guys soon! Bye!

The Brazilian (yes, you read right!!) SIGMA BEAUTY, we all love, we all want their products!

Sigma Beauty… Everyone who knows about the makeup industry and world knows about the Sigma Brushes and Makeup. But.. Do you know the story behind that company? I’m here to tell you and surprise you!

Are you ready to know the truth? SIGMA BEAUTY IS BRAZILIAN! Say whaaaaaat? Yes, ma’am! Let’s sit down because I’ll tell you all about it! I was checking their website because I simply love all about them, but unfortunately I cannot afford anything right now haha! Anyways, I always like to read about the story of the company or just to read the ‘about’ page, just to know what kinda of company I am dealing with, how they got here or anything related to that. Reading the Sigma Beauty website, I came to these shocking news!

Sigma was founded in 2008 by Brazilian natives Rene, a civil engineer with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, and his wife Simone, a researcher with a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology. After discovering the strong need for worldwide availability of affordable and high-quality beauty products, the couple combined their knowledge of engineering and scientific research to create a company that met these needs in the cosmetic industry.

Reading more about this, I saw that a Brazilian couple came to USA in 1999 and they started the Sigma Beauty in 2008. Wikipedia-ing, I read:

The couple, who moved to Minnesota in 1999, combined their knowledge of engineering and scientific research to pioneer the company, which began as a way to simply export American cosmetics to family members in Brazil. Seeing an opening to expand, Oliveira and Filho quickly grew the business, designing brushes and sending products to influential fashion bloggers.

Did someone know about this? I didn’t! And now I love Sigma Beauty EVEN MORE, because come on.. They are Brazilian! Ok, the company is American but it has Brazilian roots, love and blood (haha)! I’m impressed and loving it more!

Review: e.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder – Turks & Caicos

e.l.f cosmetics, some people hate them, some people love them, and you know what? I am one of the people who love e.l.f.! I mean it, they have some great products and I still don’t believe how they can handle that price! OMG from 1 to what… 6 dollars (not talking about the pallets)? This is great! Today I’m here to talk about the duo blush and contour that I have.

Turks & Caicos

SDC12051When I bought it online I didn’t think it was as dark as it actually is. Oh well, what can I do? The bronzer powder is the dark one and it has so much shimmer on it that it is not a good contour powder, maybe only a bronzer to pretend you have that tanned glow. The blush looks more like a light bronzer than a Blush. I know that some other shades of this duo are better than this one, I think it’s too dark and it has too much shimmer, in my humble opinion! Not that you can’t work with it, you can! But if you want a bronzer to contour your face, you are going to buy the wrong thing with this particular duo! Let’s see a close up photo:

SDC12052Can you see what I mean? Now a swatch:

And it’s so pigmented that if you have a strong hand and apply too much, God bless you when you try to blend it! So here is a tip, apply little by little. And I mean LITTLE, because once I applied too much and I looked like a clown hahahahaha! I like this product but I think you need to find the right way to use it! I think that sometimes even if we don’t like the product, we can use it in another way (like in this case, because some of them I just cannot wear or use at all!!!!). I bought it for US$3,00 in their website and I think that I would buy another shade instead of this one! It’s an ok product, but too dark for me!
What are you waiting for? Come on and let’s shop at e.l.f.!

Ok, that’s it for today! Stay beautiful and I’ll talk to you guys soon, bye!

CHEAP AND AWESOME: NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder, Translucent

Hello, hello! Time to save money and stay beautiful! So come on and let’s get started!

Click on the image to like us on Facebook!

Click on the image to like us on Facebook!

Today I’m here to talk about a translucent powder that I found at Walmart by NYC (New York Color):

NYC Smooth Skin Pressed Face Powder, Translucent

I bought it for US$3,00 and there are different shades, but I got the Translucent because I need to remove the shine from my face sometimes during the day, especially in hot hot days here in Brazil! Nobody wants a shiny face that you can even squeeze the oil out and sell it to fry an egg, right? I know, I am weird.. Anyways, this powder comes with a lame little sponge that is actually handy when you are in a hurry and just throw the powder in your purse or makeup bag. I usually apply with the sponge just because I am lazy and I forget to get the brush, but I would recommend a brush to apply it hahaha! This powder is pressed, so it’s not so messy!

This NYC powder comes in a weak package, but good enough to handle my strong hands ahaha! Not only that, is comes with a mirror inside, and it’s good because usually this type of powder is made to quickly apply on the face. So the mirror and sponge have this purpose. Ah, modern world where time is money! We are always in a hurry. It reminds me of a song by Jason Mraz that I love called Clockwatching! You should listen to this song, amazing! Anyways… Back to the powder, is has a white-ish color, so be careful to not over-apply it and become a ghost cosplay!

When I am at home I apply it with a brush, but when I’m out I usually just se the sponge and that’s it! I like the way it makes my face matte and blocks the shine on my skin. I know sometimes that flat face is weird, but I make sure to contour my face to have some depth!

Have no idea why I only have this weird photo (I look like a no life robot human being weirdo) but as you can see on my forehead, it has no shine but it’s not totally matte. I have combination skin, and I felt that it gives the skin a different texture, and I would purchase this again, for sure. Come on.. 3 dollars, guys. Please.. 🙂

I’ll try to schedule some posts this weekend. I am sorry I am gone, but I’ve been busy lately with work. I didn’t even do my nails!!!! Say What! I do them at least 2 or 3 times a week and I have the same nail color since last saturday (March 22nd)! So, I’ll talk to you guys soon, bye!
